You and The Moon

by rachael   Aug 3, 2011

Hang the moon for me, my Love
Set it high in the starry sky
But leave it loose, off kilter, askew
I like to look upon the dark side too
For even moons are flawed, as such
And here confess my secret pleasure,
For if the moon, in all its nightly glory,
Bears, too, the burden we humans share
I am thus convinced that even we
Can rise, as she, to light the world
