Memories

Nothing left but memories
A couple broken hearts
And painful words said.

The memory of being in your arms
Will be in my mind for ever.

So much comfort between two people
Is now lost for good.

I can't believe it had to end.
Why can't we go back and start over?

Please make the pain stop
Please come back to me.

But part of me wishes I could for get it all
I need to start brand new
.
I need a new life away from this all.
