You say, I see

by Someonethere   Sep 11, 2011

You don't eat,

You don't sleep,

You make everyone thinking you're okay,

And you make them think your life is perfect.

You blame everything on yourself,

You think everything is your fault,

You think you're the one to pay,

And for that matter you are dying.

You are destroying youself,

Physically,

Mentally,

And you think socially.

But socially you are alright,

You have a lot of friends,

But you still think you are the outsider,

And that everyone hates you.

You trust nobody,

You keep it all in,

And on days you decide to explode,

You burst into tears.

For you it's an accomplishment,

To cry and to hurt your soul,

You say you deserve it,

You say you're bad and it's you fault.

You say you're all ok,

You say you're just a little sad,

That it's normal,

And that you'll get out of it soon.

But I see you could be diagnosed with depression,

And that you're going down it's spiral,

But you still say it's all ok,

I can solve my next problem.

You say you can solve everything alone,

That you can solve everything on your own,

You say you're pathetic,

And then you say you're stupid.

You think you can stay like you are,

You say you can survive,

You say you've done it nine years,

And that you can survive for decades.

I say you won't survive,

You say you will,

I say get help and eat and sleep,

You say you try,

And that you can solve it on your own.

You have no hope for the future,

No hope for happiness,

No hope for feeling good one day,

No hope for feeling ok.

I think you are blind,

I would pay for an eye laser surgery,

But I don't have the money,

As you can or not see.

So while we wait,

I can give you glasses,

But it's only if you let me,

And I doubt you will.

But please,

I'm begging you,

Stop hurting yourself,

It's leading nowhere,

Except to your death.

Wow, probably my favorite poem. Ever.
I'm dead serious. I read this and I realized how much this related to my life...Like, it's spot on. Exactly how my life is right now.
I don't want to sound like one of those stupid posers, or attention hogs. Just want to let you know why I love this poem so much.

My favorite part throughout the poem is probably,

    "You blame everything on yourself,
You think everything is your fault,
You think you're the one to pay,
And for that matter you are dying.

    You are destroying youself,
    Physically,
    Mentally,
    And you think socially.

    But socially you are alright,
You have a lot of friends,
But you still think you are the outsider,
    And that everyone hates you."

This simply explains how one person can seem so happy, but yet deep down they are dying inside, deep down they feel like an outcast, deep down they hate themselves.

    Absolutely, amazing, fantastic job,

    It's great.

I just recommend to made the sentences in each stanza together.
    For example:

    But please,
    I'm begging you,
    Stop hurting yourself,
    It's leading nowhere,
    Except to your death.

It will take less space and in my opinion will look more appealing to the readers. :) By the way, that's my favorite stanza.
    Very well done.
