Love's armageddon

by The Po whet   Sep 15, 2011

A soldier of love,
in full cuirass.
sword held with one hand
shield with the other.

the valley upon which I stand;
tells a tale of death.
deaths of brave men,

who died
in the name of love.

my nemesis draws his sword
I draws mine.
thunder claps,rupturing the tense silence
we charge at each other
counting on mother luck to conjure up victory.

birds of prey parades the valley,
as sole spectators
yearning for blood of the fallen victim in this battle.

let he that honours his sword
live to glorify love.

*Cuirass-french word meaning 'armour'.
