How many people live in darkness
Wake up with pain and sorrow
Wishing that their life was better
Hoping for a better tomorrow

How many people cry alone
Watching the tears fall to the floor
Hiding the secrets deep within
Not wanting to live anymore

Everyone wishes for a good day
A place they can call home
But what about the homeless
Having to live every day alone

A simple smile can change the day
Or giving someone a gift too
What if the world all cared
So lets start today, me and you
