Soothing Coos (Harrisham Rhyme)

by Meena Krish   Sep 29, 2011

Babies are god's miraculous gift
sent to us with many blessings,
tiny bond, our heart and soul they lift
young love in a lifeless home sings,
gathers people with a smile so swift
soothing coos, joy to all it brings.

Harrisham Rhyme is created by a female poet
named Harrisham Minhas, who is from the State of
Punjab in India. Harrishma rhyme is a six-line
rhyming stanza. In this form, the last alphabet
(letter) of the first word of each line is the first
alphabet (letter) of the first word of next line. There
is no restriction on the starting alphabet (letter)of
the first line.
Rhyme scheme : ababab.

First of all, thank for the info.

It makes me appreciate even more your poem for it is difficult to make something like this.

It shows that you chose your words cautiously and it turned out amazingly.

I don't have any babies but I sure know that they are so cute. And they bring a smile to me every time I see them.
