Remembering what we had...

Another sleepless, cold night
I ran across pictures of you
Trying to convince myself
That we are through

Do you still think about me?
Do you still hold my teddy bear?
Do you still love me?
Do you still wish I was there?

Remember the night I asked you to be mine
Everything about the night seemed so perfect
Cuddling together on the couch past curfew
Talking about how nervous we were when we met

I remember the first time we held hands
Butterflies filled your entire body
I looked over at you with the biggest smile
Knowing that we were both finally happy

But as I sit here and think back
I'm filled with so much pain
What happened to the happy couple?
Who is the one to blame?

My heart cries out tonight
Tears stream down my face
What happened to the love?
How can I, so easily be replaced?

    Aww this poem was sad but so relatable.. I think we've all thought of similar questions at some point, and wonder how others see us, and if they still think of us from time to time. I felt really sad as I read this... and I really felt every emotion you expressed.

    Well, I can see the sadness throughout this piece. Just remembering what you once had and knowing you dont have it anymore. Alot of people can relate to this.

    i think its better like this "That we are through"
