If mirrors could talk...

by Someonethere   Nov 11, 2011

If mirrors could talk

If mirrors could talk,
She wouldn't be there once again,
Looking at her ugly face,
In the reflecting mirror.

If mirrors could talk,
Maybe she would be happy,
Maybe she would smile more often,
Because the space between her teeth,
Would really matter less.

If mirrors could talk,
She would be out with her friends right now,
Instead of figuring out,
what she's going to wear the next day,
Because she wants to feel confident,
Just for one day.

If mirrors could talk,
She would be living the best love story,
But she's too scared,
To even tell him how she feels,
Because she thinks he thinks that she's ugly.

If mirror could talk,
Maybe she wouldn't out a mask on her face,
But when she puts the mask on,
She feels amazing and beautiful.

If mirrors could talk,
She would always dance and sing,
But she's too ashamed of herself,
To even think about it.

If mirrors could talk,
She would stop looking at her ugly hair,
Stop spending hours doing them to feel safe,
And she would also stop copying the hair fashion of the week,
In her every magazine.

If mirrors could talk,
She would stop looking at her gray eyes,
The ugly gray eyes as she calls them,
And she would stop trying to put make up to hide them.

If mirrors could talk,
She wouldn't worry about her weight,
She wouldn't worry about the ''extra weight'',
She also wouldn't care about the fact,

That she's not tan enough.

No, if mirrors could talk,

She would have been told,

That she has the amazing body of a dancer,

She's more dark than most of her friends,

That she has the perfect closet,

And amazing brown thick hair,

She would know she has amazing eyes,

And that the guy she likes thinks she's beautiful,

She would konwher smile is amazing,

Her friends love her and envy her.

But most of all,

She would be happy,

Because she would know that in the end...

She's not ugly.

She's amazing.

------------------------------------------------------------

To everyone who think that they're ugly,

Please look in the mirror right now,

Tell yourself you're beautiful,

Because someone, somewhere,

Even if you don't believe it,

Thinks you're amazing in every way.

Why is it to all girls, guys think they are ugly too. I used to have this problem growing up, thinking i was ugly, and tellliing myself i was never worth anything. but then i became friends with the mirror, and as friends are supposed to be. we started hanging out platoniclly, and my mirror never judged me, for i quit judging myself. 5/5 for this poem. kudos, keep it up, and as I always say. Keep writting, I'll keep reading

    So, so very true.
It seems most girls and some guys everywhere are getting lower and lower self esteem.
    "I'm ugly, I'm fat, I have zits, He/She won't like me, I'm stupid"
    All these things we hear.
Sadly, I am one of those girls some times.

No matter how many times somebody tells a person they are beautiful they may not believe it, but it's true!!! Everyone of us is unique in our own special way. (:

    Great write, 5/5!

Yes, yes. Self esteem, confidence are important and many of us lack it. But sometimes we don't need to hear it from the mirror but from someone we like. We can try to convince ourself that we a beautiful but if that someone we like doesn't think so or doesn't say it, it wouldn't matter if we are pretty. Ourself steem goes down. Believe it or not but it does play an important role. Very good write. Thanks for the beautiful message. I know every girl is beautiful whether they are over weigh, skinny, with acne, too tall, too short; but we just have to feel it. :)
