Lili

by Jordan   Nov 26, 2011

Lili is a tiger,
Lili is a lion.
With delicate petals that
crumble with the
faintest
touch.

But
her heart is as
ravenous and wild
as screaming rapids;
challenging...
no, daring men to
survive her wit and finesse.

With the power to
steal words away,
speaking to her is simply
a daunting task.
Usually even the most
courageous can only
ever say

"Lili...um...I think
that you've a superb...um..."

Written for Nevi's contest.

I remember reading this one when it was posted in Nevi's contest and wondering if you wrote it..I knew it had to be a TC poem but I just thought of you for some reason. I have heard of a tiger lily but never a lion one...not sure if there even is a lion lily but that doesn'ter matter. My thoughts went straight to Michael Hutchence/Paula Yates little girl who had Tiger Lily somewhere in her name..sure you didn't mean her but...it's strange how the mind works when reading words by someone else.

I thought your ending was absolutely brilliant...very witty word play.

    This was yours? :)
God, I love it, especially the play on words in the end.

    So smooth and vivid. Excellent.

Hilarious. Still tickles me every time. For some reason I thought this was a cheeky abby or Jane write, but clearly you can be just as cheeky.

Lili and her super bum. Bahahahaha.
