Stepping Back

by Jad   Nov 27, 2011

Words echo adages of times past
as dancing lights shriek away
from a decaying sun on the horizon,
promising a better tomorrow.

Still leaving footprints in the sand
tears won't erase the pain of yesterday
for only time can clear these scars
even as waves wash away our existence.

Gazing at what's left in the sky,
spotted lights paint pictures
with cascading stars that streak
slowly across the sky

Stepping back,
I lose myself in wonder
in the thought of life
unable to understand this beauty.

When we step back, we tend to lose ourselves in its web. It is good to read your poems again after a long time..take care.

Feel your emotions here, emerging from turmoil of your past and looking beyond it to see the eternal wonder of existence, and seeing hope and potential awaiting. Nice thoughts expressed here.

If we all would step back I think we would lose ourselves in wonderment at all God's creations and the earth and nature, the skys and heavens. It amazes me everyday. We also could take a step back from life, just to see where we are and what we are creating. Well done.
