My life's a roller coaster

by Hollow Face   Dec 1, 2011

My life is like a roller coaster
pushing me up and down
right now it's at the top
me feet high off the ground

It's not a good feeling to be like this
everything so clear and bliss
but i know its all just a game
sooner or later it will ride down in shame

Where i right now, on the highest round
crying and screaming for you to help
to you im not making a sound
the cart swinging me back at forth

i can see the edge so near
the drop seems so clear
i try to hang on for dear life
pushing myself back to the start

but it doesnt budge
slowly wheeling to the mound
everything i worked for slams into
moving like im trapped in sludge

all i feel is the pain
nothing can compare to the fear
nothing else to gain
this burning in side me breaks

the wheels keep turning
i try to scream, try to hold on
but i fling my hands in the air
fate in my care

no more of this up and down
im not a doll to be thrown around
i give up
i let go
i cant say no

no more hiding from the truth
no more lying to my friends
this mask that i put on
this fake smile i wear

now it ends.

    Holy cow,

I'm so glad that the mask will be gone. This poem is the best I have read from you. You sort of incorporated so many emotions in here. Well done. 100/100

An enjoyable read that is filled with true feelings not ones that seem to be exaggerated. It had great flow and excellent wording.
