Flamingo Dawn

by NightFlyer   Dec 5, 2011

Shimmering light on dawn's lake
A rising sun of caramel gold
This flamingo land silent, in waves of motion
Its smiles rising over flowing distances
Blue heron gliding over silver waters
Mirroring the lazy sky
Sun disk exploding forth with golden rays
Piercing the horizon in brilliance
Flooding my eyes with liquid gold
This supernova of tropical fire
Surging forward in dancing rainbows.

Another Florida poem. Wrote this one as the sun rose over a lake at a condo I was living at last year.

You my friend. have described sun rise with absolute brilliance and depth.

A rising sun of caramel gold

^ this line is where I stopped and took a breath, thinking to myself, as to why cant I come up with such scarce creativity.

This super nova of tropical fire

^ I just love how you've used "super nova", which is the most massive explosion in the cosmos, creating abundant light, whipping off every life within 1000 light years.

The poetry in itself is so resplendent, I am short of words. Its like having a front row seat for viewing the sun rise from the paradise divine. I am highly impressed.
