There is Such a Thing Called Luck

by SoUrNameIsTia   Dec 22, 2011

Today I'm in love with a man.
Tomorrow I will be too,
I don't expect miracles,
I don't expect the miles to shorten,
but everyday I love you.

The past brought you to now,
now being the time of joy,
and change in your pocket.

The past events lingering,
where you once walked,
still lie there in ruins.
Death took what belonged to you,
it still has him in its grasp.
The clover of five leaves,
brought you years of struggle,
no home,
no money,
left and right was non existent.

Do you remember,
what you thought was right?
Do you remember the man,
who busted sense and direction,
right back into your chops.
But he also created a home for you,
a family,
and a strong frame to guard your heart.

And so you did.
A heart guarded will be a heart rewarded,
after each secret code is picked.
One year after another...
different combinations were tried,
until the last, and most important,
number was enlightened.
When the lock trusts,
it did open.

Stay home with me,
I won't bust a single fiber in you.
Lace your fingers in mine,
and I'll keep death out of our grasp.
Keep your eyes on me,
have faith in me,
that I am your lucky clover....

....World, forever am I in love with a man.
His history is a whole saga.
By miracles,
he has pennies in his pocket,
but I don't expect dollars overnight.
And for the sake of someone else,
and for the sake of our worlds together,
life makes us wait.

For who you are,
I couldn't be one million people to match,
you're just that single man,
who chose me out of the many millions.
For who you are now,
yesterday,
last year and the year ahead,
I don't love you for what you see
when we're away.
I love you for what I see when I'm with you.
