Love Transcends Our Control

Love is selfless,
And ultimately timeless.
It is not dependent on what you or I desire,
It is a fated occurrence.
Where two people are slowly but inevitably drawn together,
Pulled through all of the relationships that might have been,
Through all of the lives that could have touched for longer Than a lingering second.

Many people speak of love as a soft glow within.
or as a light pull to another in the room.
But it is so much more.
Love is the desperate hunger one feels deep within.
Love is something primal that demands attention,
And does not wait for your convenience.
It is the sundering of reason,
The blissful transcendence of thought.

Sometimes we may have differences,
Fights, quarrels and negative instances,
But through it all,
I can safely say...
That I love you doofus.
