Vampire Cat

by Larry Chamberlin   Dec 24, 2011

We call Raja our vampire cat:
he comes to us only in the night
complaining if his food is tardy
then howling to escape the light.

But if we sleep past dawn
we do not see him all day long,
'til sunset comes to bring him out
singing his muttering old cat song.

Raja is ours, 9 years old & theoretically he's indoors in the day & out at night. As I wrote, that does not always happen.

I like the name that you call this cat - the vampire cat.

I think it's a stray right? Only coming when it needs food / water etc. I assume it is a stray but cats are very sneaky - they may have a permenant home already but like to visit those who are kind and generous towards them... someone who can give them food lol

    I've always wanted a cat!!!

    Nicely done
