It's close to the end
but also the beginning
It's that time again
when the world changes.

It's a time for reflection
to think of resolutions
to make promises
that you seldom keep.

4...3...2...1

The clock strikes 12,
balloons fill the room.
It's a brand new year,
the beginning of the end.

    --That's my favorite stanza especially "to think of resolutions to make promises that you seldom keep." Great line that illustrates all the things we say we'll do, but never do.

    This was very cute :) I love counting down on new yrs, everyones happy to start a new yr!..I like that u not only described the countdown but u included counting down...good write :) hopefully u had a good new yrs!

    Nicely done but it's the beginning , like a new lease on our life to do better. Of course all resolutions are soon forgotten lol
