Waiting On Summertime

by Melissa   Jan 9, 2012

I'll be dreaming of tangerine smiles
and kool-aid kisses
as I sew metaphors beneath the Willow tree
while waiting for your sticky hands
to seize my hips
and pull me into some
humid and mischievous depth,
your breath spilling over me
its heavy embrace

I long to feel like August again

Oh I love what you have written here. It's Summer here right now and it is HOT and Humid!

The use of kool-aid kisses. I assume kool-aid is a drink with the colour of red or blue. I'd imagine the colour on the lips hence the words.

The way your words personify the season is amazingly done. Especially breath spilling over me. I loved it
