Pictures

Pictures lay across my bed
Revisiting memories in my head
They can say a thousand words
A voice once silent can be heard

Pictures bring pain or glee
They tell the story of you and me
Allowing me to remember your smile
Knowing every minute was worthwhile

Pictures display what once was
Unfolding the story of us
To the past is where I return
Going back there is what I yearn
