Omelet?

Woke up this morning with great expectations
Quickly got dressed without hesitation
Combed my hair and put on my boots
Down the hallway with a 'woot woot'
Ran to the table and when I sat down
My ear to ear smile turned into a frown
Expecting pancakes and what did I get
Whole wheat toast and a veggie omelet

    Veggie omelet.. hmm..

    As long as it has melted cheese.. then I guess its all right.

    haha.. its a nice piece. I already finished having my dinner but now it made me think about breakfast.. so pancakes for tomorrow. :D

    This is what happens when someone else is in control of your breakfast. ;-)

    Seriously, the worst part was that it was 'veggie.'

    Good write, but may I suggest you look again at the fourth line? The rhythm might work better like this: "ran down the hall with ..." Of course that puts ran in two lines, so that particular word may not work.
