Kyle

by Jessica   Jan 22, 2012

Woke up one morning
With a feeling of dread
Thought it was nothing
All in my head

Checked my phone
No messages there
Something was different
Why weren't you here

Drove to school
All by myself
Felt that something
Was terribly wrong

Walked inside
Everyone was crying
Looked like the
Whole school was dying

That's when I knew
Something was wrong
You weren't here
You were gone

Where is he
Why isn't he here
Is he sick
Is he home

Someone pulled me aside
Said I'm so sorry
But he committed
Suicide

The world stopped
I feel to my knees
Something inside me
Had popped

No its not true
It cant be
You should be here
I need you

I cried that day
Tears of a flood
My life was gone
The day you fell dead

Why, why did you go
Why did you take your life
Was it all worth it
Just to die

Was it too much
To ask you to stay
Now im alone
Since you took
Your own life that day.

In memory of a friend that committed suicide last year. RIP Kyle

This is a poem i wrote after and friend committed suicide during my junior year of high school. Kyle was a great kid and had my many things going for him. He will be dearly missed and forever be in our hearts and prayers.
