Field Of Flowers

by Maple Tree   Jan 25, 2012

In the midst of a humid summer
my body relaxed within natures sauna
moisture traveled from my lips
cooling my thirst for peace.

My exhausted mind was hijacked
traveling along a dirt road alone
tossing these tired limbs aside
limber, broken, melting in a field
of Poppys....

Sleep my child, sleep

a fragrance of memories
devoured my ageless soul
and on that very day
I became a fallen petal
floating in a pond
of eternal bliss....
