Writer's Block

by Scrittore   Jan 25, 2012

What does a writer have to say
When the page is empty and white
After all the words have left her
Not an outlet within her sight

Yet she longs to take pen in hand
And left her mind flow free
Blacken the page with her words
To her soul it is the key

But here the page remains blank
What happened to this scribe?
Once could passionately fill the page
One must assume that she died

Yet her she lives in a world missing
Any sort of way to get her feelings out
Combusting from deep within
Her skills she begins to doubt

Did her muse just leave her?
Has that brief affair passed?
Must she live with the knowledge
That this poem is her last?
