Dry Ice (Acrostic)

by Maple Tree   Feb 1, 2012

Drawing pictures in a puddle of tears
Raw emotions, laced from a cold fingertip
Yearning to tell a story, preserved in innocence

Icicles dripping, erasing my memories
Carelessly, packing each thought in a box
Eternally I rise, waiting to make a new memory with you

Oh you did very well with this poem hun,

Drawing pictures in a puddle of tears
Raw emotions, laced from a cold fingertip
Yearning to tell a story, preserved in innocence
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I love the first line. The image of drawings pictures in a puddle of tears instead of something else is awesome. When you are talking about raw emotions from a cold fingertip it makes me think of someone pointing at you and saying negative things

    Icicles dripping, erasing my memories
Carelessly, packing each thought in a box
Eternally I rise, waiting to make a new memory with you
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Here I feel you are trying to say that the dripping ice is washing the bad memories away and you are waiting for something good. A better memory you can hold onto instead of placing in a box.

    Well done hun!
