This poem is full of descriptions, Christopher. I like it, and can relate to the persona very well. Nature and especially the seasons changing can make me feel all melancholic. Really nice how you made me experience Autumn in this very descriptive piece:)

    well done,

I loved this poem! I loved the part about the fresh cut grass, it brought back memories for me,I have always loved that smell. This poem I could picture in my mind and that is because it was very well written. Nice job.

    Swan's preening,
    Plafully turning and cleaning.
    Jackdaw's cawing, leaves falling.

^I like this opening stanza and I could also visualize the birds playing and enjoying nature's beauty.

She; a solitary figure, strolling on a
meandering path of black tar, through a green oasis.

^This part is like a scene from a movie..a solitary figure strolling in a green oasis..how beautiful that looks! Loved it.

The smell of cut grass wafts through the air, the last cut before nature sleeps.

^Ohhh..I like the smell of cut grass :)

Two magpies chatting on a willow tree. Two swans glide against the current; shimmering the dark mirrored surface.

^Nature's beauty with all her children is portrayed here simply...imagery is vivid here.

    Nature yawning.
Leaves are falling, creating Autumn's golden gown.

^Another lovely stanza!! Nature yawning and the way you associate it with autumn as the leaves fall..clever!

River music playing softly and gentlly, the smell of river reeds, crinkle and crunch of fallen leaves.

^This reminds me of the walks I used to take in the park back home where I can hear the river flowing and the way leaves crunch at the touch of the feet..this is a memorable stanza for me :)

I really enjoyed this nature write..well written!

Nature poems are the ultimate and this is filled with beauty of nature.
Your wording is full of images that impress, relax and fill the eyes with wonder.
I can't say enough about this so I'll shut up and just say, BRILLIANT

The imagery is absolutely beautiful ... i loved the jackdaws, the magpies ... the way you have described them, and specially the ending.

    //"Quietness" Sh, sh, shshshhshhsh
// it's like everything went silent around me.

    Beautiful write.
My only suggestion would be to allign your lines ... break them into stanzas.

This is a beautiful poem...there is no doubt in my mind. There are two parts to your imagery...nature itself and the old man...enjoying his last days. You need to go back and edit this one because...it's front page material (IMO) but....you have a few typos which..at the moment is spoiling it slightly.
