Hope

by Daisy if you do   Feb 15, 2012

Hope (star tarot)

To every end
there is a beginning.
A place
where seeds of hope
are planted,
pruned
and picked.

They bloom
from wombs
of hope.
Far beneath
the daylight,
a single tear that is shed
out of sheer disparity
swallows grief
and desperation.

The thirst of the seed
finds the determination.
Releasing,
increasing,
never ceasing.
Only....
to rise yet again.

This poem was written for a challenge in MM. My tarot card that was revealed was the Star card.

Beautiful! I loved your word use here because it was really effective in creating a feel for what you were expressing.

    "are planted,
    pruned
    and picked."
^LOVE all the "p's" It sounded so fun when I read it out loud.

    "Releasing,
    increasing,
    never ceasing."
^Another great example of your wonderful word choice. I liked how this was placed towards the ending of he poem because it allowed for me to have a concrete image of hope and its longevity. When you say these words out loud, they sound like they go on forever and that can be said the same for hope..

Wonderfully done! I really enjoyed reading this :)

5/5. Enjoyed the flow with the metaphors. Hope is the content which keeps us lively and we are determined to move on. Beautiful.
