Awaiting Death

by believeinlove87   Feb 20, 2012

- This is just a poem; a way to vent how much I hate my family. I would never do that to myself to something like that because of them. -

Locked in her room, late hours of the night,
Feeling uncomfortable in her own house
trying to avoid the cold blank stares she
receives as she crosses her families path.

Staring at her moms portrait on her bedroom wall,
Tears start streaming out her eyes, as she wishes
her father had been the one who died; Her voice
barely a whisper as she says " Why did you leave
me? You were the only one who ever cared. "

Looking up from her bed, she catches her reflection
in the mirror; Puffy red eyes... Tear stained cheeks,
Hating the depression shes so badly fallen into,
Grabbing the remote control; She throws it at the
closet mirrors, watching the glass shatter down.

Ever so slightly she picks up the sharpest piece,
glancing back at her moms picture, she says
" I'm sorry to have to disappoint you this way Mom."

Leaving a suicide note on her desk,
Letting her father know she doesn't want to be here
anymore because of him,
she furiously slits her wrists as she falls to the floor;
awaiting death to take her.

My Heart goes out to you. Believe me, God has not left you, he sees your tears, hear
your cry and feel your pain. I like this poem because I can relate to it
