Sweet Memories

The dew drops in my garden
Today
Reminded me of yesterday
Of what could have been
If I and you would have been
a, We
Of the night of our chance rendezvous
Perhaps two decades before
When he pulled you in
And she pushed me out
And the door shut
By force, of course
And as we sat on the coir bedding
Under the shade of the night sky
Way too shy
Among the greenery
A flower and a bee
Silence had engulfed
And without a glance
We dismissed
Each other
You may have perhaps thought
I was only a bud
And I may have thought
You were way too stupid
But then, it was all written in the stars
The tale
Of our separate destinies

Perhaps we will one day meet
Up in the tree house
Way far from this dimension
Beyond comprehension
Or perhaps not
Who knows
