Ode to the Widow

by Maple Tree   Feb 29, 2012

Iridescent pearls
essence of a lady
dew drop dancing
pirouette design
cascading shawl
masquerading beauty
enchanting widow
yearning to dine
a mosquitos fate
spiraling endlessly
upon a fine china death trap
otherwise known as
her web....

Ooooooh, I find something very elegant and intriguing about this - it sheds a new light on the Black Widow. They are exotic little beings. Cute title to match! You take something tiny (especially in this case lol) and enlarge it's significance and depth - and that takes talent! You ARE a very talented writer! I appreciate how you make note of the the spider; though small, the black widow is fierce and calculated and powerful - I have wanted a tattoo of one for that reason but that's another story! ^_^ Anyways, enjoyable read, Andrea! :)

I love the whole reference to the black widow spider!!!

I love each line and how it flowed well into the next.
