My Future

by Domino0792   Mar 14, 2012

1998:
Two children sitting,
Nothing but love to await.
No thoughts of aging,
Only toys to debate.

2002:
They're older now,
Simple toys they outgrew.
They find common ground somehow,
He always comes to her rescue.

2005:
Always in trouble,
Slipping out the window to feel alive.
When love was hurtful,
They helped each other survive.

2007:
Always the best brother,
He changed her world, her life.
She found her one, true lover,
To his friend, she would be a wife.

2009:
She saw his tough times,
He fell down a spiral.
He left, she still cries sometimes,
He met evil, the haunting devil.

2012:
Forever hurting inside,
She hopes, always waiting.
He wanders, the devil is his misguide,
It's him she is blaming.

2017:
Too young to die,
In white rooms, she awaits.
He doesn't come to her side,
A quick death is her fate.

2018:
He arrives again,
Too late to save her once more.
He is silent as he prays amen,
Knowing she is at Heaven's door.
Unshed tears fall,
Guilt is his constant dealer.
To the skies, apologies he calls,
If only he had one chance to apolgise, sister.

    Unique !
I liked the phenomenons you addressed,1998-2018 amazing totally different from most other love/sad poetry formats.Just like being past-present-future combis.
A journey Starting from innocence till the story of grown ups,I was almost lost in it.
The ending(i.e the future state) is tragic,aww...touched my heart :(
