Life's Orbs

by Lioness   Mar 25, 2012

Undeniably -
you should be
longing for something
more than just your
black coffee stained
shirt to be the most
exhilarating part
of your day.

Your heart may
wilt away just
as quick as your
bones and -

there would
be nothing
left that could
protect your
soul from
dying.

Our boats -
although treading
the same waters,
are sailing in
different
directions...

I am heading
towards the sunlit
skies and you
are heading towards
a darkened cave.

I think it's about time
that you grab
life by the
balls and follow
me to watch the
sunrise...

don't you?

Haha I am cracking up..this poem is something id write about. Blunt, in your face type poem.

It is side watching someone sail to a darkened cave. I've been on both sides of the spectrum. It sucks in both situations, but being the one who states "harsh truth" sometimes helps that othe person...

This poem was awesome in so many ways. Each stanza was my favorite it was hard to pick one!

I am certain I already commented on this Liz,
    anyways,

I like how you made the reader listen and take note...how we just focus on nothing and when its too late we realise all the things we should have done...
but also I think this is inspiring, to say, come out of the dark, for the sun is shining, don't hide away because time passes too quick

    Great message xxxx

^ lol, this is LIZ' tocuh! haha.. grab life by the balls?? I mean wouldn't this hurt? :P

-- that is amazing Liz.. I like the comparisons between the dark cave as to show the wrong choice of path chosen.. and the sunlight to show the right path.
