In Satin

by Kitty Kurse   Apr 4, 2012

Trees blowing in the wind;
I wait for you in Satin.
Fields of red and yellow roses I stand.
I hear the bird whistle as it travels through the wind
and-
I feel alive once again.

I wait for you in Satin thinking about the things I cannot comprehend.
Hope and faith is in more control-
Even possibly till the world ends.
Alas,
I still stand here in rose fields thinking of our last touch;
You held me in your arms,
told me how much I meant to you-
but did you really mean it?

I wait for you,
I hear the rustle of the leaves and the movement of creatures far off out of sight.
I hear a soft "thud"-
My heart,
It's weak-
but far more lovable than you could ever imagine.

The sun shines on my face as I loo up towards the sky and outer world around me,
It makes me want to fly with the birds and bees,
It makes me want to sit on a cloud and escape the world I'm in today.

Perhaps once my time is up I will have realized there is more then there seems.

The sky blue,
The trees green-
Maybe someday I will be in your arms once again.

    Your words are full of love and its so beautiful ...this stanza is my favorite of all, because it just held the most emotion, I appreciate this poem because i know what it feels like, and you decribed it very nicely, I couldnt be able to do that, but it was a very lovely piece of poetry , nicely done Kitty.
