Do You Love Them Enough

In sickness or in health
Being poor or filled with wealth
heard those lines many times
listen to them recited as love chimes

Do they really stay when it gets tough
Do they really hang in once it becomes rough
It is much easier to just say I want out
It seems easier to go away than talk about

What the problems are
Why now the distance is so far
No communication got it to this moment's event
The right words never used nor properly spent

It comes down to what it is worth
Did the two cause a child's birth
What does love you forever really mean?
Is it there when life is all sparkly clean?

Do you love them enough to be there
When those times of despair
Come and invade the happiness you had
Do you love enough to hold your tongue when mad

Do you love them enough to not quit
No one is prefect, a mistake is tough to admit
Do you love them enough to give everything
That what you commit to with that wedding ring

To give and never ask for yourself
For those vows turn two into oneself
Do you love them enough to say I do
Lives are changed from the actions of you
