Never Let You Go

by Genelyn Silva   Apr 14, 2012

The sun has gone and darkened my day
And it'll never matter what I have to say,
Because nothing will ever be the same
The moment your heart stopped beating
Was the moment mine began to shatter
And so many memories rushed to the surface
Your smile, your eyes, the things I loved so much
All disappeared within seconds
Then gray clouds came and down poured the rain,
As if nothing had intentions to ease up my pain
I never thought it was time for you to go
When you left, a piece of me went with you
Because every now and then, I still look for your face
But all that stares back is just an empty space
It's so hard to breathe, but I'll keep fighting for you
And with every last bit of strength, I will tell you a thousand times
I'll never let you go.
