You'd be the love I'd never forget.

If I lost you
You'd be the love I'd never forget.
Wrapped up in memories.
Heart left closed off and cold.
Replaying moments in search of regret.

If my heart broke, it would be because you said goodbye.
I'd brace myself for unbearable pain.
In such agony, such disbelief, with such remorse.
I'd hold on to the feeling of your touch as long as I could
With no control to keep the tears inside.

If I had to live without your love
my world would be left in ruins. Never to be the same.
The sun wouldn't rise. The sky dull. Ugly. Grey.
To lose such a beautiful love. A love that made me feel so alive.
Haunted by the sound of your voice,
losing control over my inner demons (the ones that say "I hate you."and "You are not enough.")
Losing control of the pain inside.

To lose you,
Is to lose hope.

To lose you,
Is to lose love.

To lose you,
is to lose my strength.

To lose you,
is to give up.
