This is certainly a heartbreaking piece that has so much emotions. When we vent or just write how we are feeling, the poems usually come out with this truth to it and makes the poem more real. It shows the vulnerability of the writer. I think this piece is sad. I know that when you talk about the things that don't make you happy anymore like hearing the phone ring and knowing that it's him, would make you happy but not now. I remember when I was dating back in the day and I had my phone by my side as if to say I would never want to miss their calls, but now it's different because of the way he is treating you.
