One Last Kiss

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Apr 19, 2012

They tell me that you've moved on
and that's just fine with me
no, I'm not completely jealous
if she's better than me
I will always have a smile
just as long as you're happy

before you walk away and never come back
I wanna whisper two simple words
that I'll never be able to say again
once you return to her...

...kiss me

I don't wanna complicate anything
and for a moment, it will feel wrong
I can't force you to feel that old spark
if it's apparently already gone
cause I can smell her on you
and I know that her love is strong

but before you escape my mind
I want you to do two simple words
cause I won't ever taste that warmth again
once you return to her

I know it'll be bittersweet
I'm not asking so you won't be able to forget me
and all we've been through
and all we could've been
I just wish we could dissolve into nothingness
with this one last kiss

and if somehow, you do feel something
and you forget about her while kissing me
then I'll give you a chance to decide
exactly what you think you need
