Antiquity

by Maple Tree   May 6, 2012

I drifted far away,
lost within a memory,
crystal blue tears,
my ocean of thoughts.

Rhapsody tickled a
desire that for most
is nothing, but the
smallest of joys
is enough to just
set me free-

I drowned within your
final whisper, so long ago,
and it amazes me now,
after all these years,
that I still need a life
jacket, just by the
mention of your name....

I love the title. It really drew me in. It made me think of something classy and older. I loved that

I think that sometimes we can surprise ourselves on how our past can affect us today. When we think of something, the older thoughts come back and we can still be affected by it. I've had that.

    Awesome write!

This piece is a bit bizarre.

What I understood is that the past is within the past, but still you get the chills when you remember it.
