Running out of time.

by Victoria   May 6, 2012

My life's clock is running out,
tomorrow could be the end of my route...
Maybe doctors can be completely wrong,
I've become someone extremely strong.

Miracles do happen, right?
I hate living in fright.
Time is not stopping, for me,
I wonder what I will last-see.

I use to take life for granted,
Up til' my sickness was planted.
Now every second is a gift,
as day by day starts to drift.

I pray tomorrow, I wake to another day,
and hope for a cure to come my way.
I wish I was a normal girl, who wasn't sick,
If only-- God let me, pick.

Too scared to sleep, I fear I won't wake,
I wish my life --he wouldn't soon take,
It's not fair waiting on your clock to stop..
I wish I had someone's elses body-to swap.

Just incase tomorrow's light never shows,
when I'm gone, my love will continue to flow.
I'm happy with my life, even if it was shortlived.
Moments, I could continue, being relived.

I no longer blame God for me, being ill.
Fate- has its own written will.
Mine just so happend to end-rather fast,
It sucks knowing, I'll be only-- in people's past.

I'm done asking 'God, why me?'
I know answers don't come, free.
I never understood self-harm...
all those cuts on people's arms...

Those who have a choice of existence,
If tables turned, do you think they'd still want Death's assistance?
He walks with me everyday without my choice,
As if ...I can't even speak, almost like he has stolen my voice.

I wish that they could be in my place,
I doubt-death, they would continue to chase.
You only get one life to live,
Such a precious gift- he does give.

Tomorrow is never promised to you.
That's a fact, that is true.
Live everything- while you can,
God already has your plan.

As long as your heart beats, God cares. The End is what counts, not the Past. Against all odds, victory abounds. Before Devil came, God drew near. Nothing comes true, outside belief. Be strong, for a good turn awaits.
