Paradise.

by Courageous Dreamer   May 23, 2012

You whisper sweet bursts of passion
as I kiss you with poetic calligraphy
that only you understand...

and in these moments
I'm breathless,
for we've stole the starlit skies,
while a sweet jasmine mist
flirts with twilight.

I'll forever find comfort
in this lovely paradise.

    Hi

What a great example of a short poem that works, You make your point with only a few lines. Poets (or Poetess') can fall into the trap of having too many stanzas with repetition because they do not feel they have fully shared their message.
I love the image portrayed by 'poetic calligraphy'
It makes me think of more traditional poems, every word earning it's place with fantastically beautiful flow, almost one in the eye of the arty scattered on the page modern poems.
'Burst' and 'passion' really shouldn't go with 'whisper' but it works here, that is testament to your writing ability.
I also love the term 'flirt with twilight' is the mist trying to overpower the dark, are they having a battle to dominate the sky?
Great love and passion in this with only 10 lines, well done.

Your poetry speaks so much in so few words.....the images and truth that your heart feels for this love of yours. Love the nature you include as well as that sense of being able to inspire the world with this beautiful paradise.....how you can do anything with those sweet kisses.

    Great job :]
