The first stanza made me think of living life yet having to earn the precious moments so you appreciate them more. Definitely thought provoking which is excellent. Kind of speechless as well, this is one of those heart tugging poems. You have such a lovely message here, gorgeous title too. 'Tombstone of dead dreams' was one of my favorite parts! Dreaming is important most definitely, if we aren't able to dream we don't have goals & wishes to go off of & strive for. Lovely poem Yaki!

Yaki, each time I read this poem, which has been quite a bit so far, it just washes over me with such great emotional depth. I love this strong plea for the Lord to listen and not let your soul be emptied of dreams. It's like anything else can happen and you will accept, but your biggest desire is to be able to dream away and live your life in the path of your dreams.

Really powerful, beautifully written as always and leaves a huge impact on the reader. Awesome job :]

    Yaki,

    WOW. Awesome title!!!

I love the way you have opened up this poem. The first stanza blew me away completely.

It's like you need to have something washed over you to clean your aura and make you feel again.

The whole poem is filled with emotions and I can feel them. I love that about your work.

    Awesome write Yaki

    Comment from judging:

I voted for this poem last week and feel it still gets a vote this week. A very emotional poem that I really can't put into words how it makes me feel. I just connected to this piece in ways not all poetry grabs you. It's strong and captivating, and I really hope to see it on the front page!

The sadness, the pain, but the vivid hope is what makes this poem for me. The author shows such dispair and it's vague enough that everyone can relate to it, but in the end always putting it in God's hands is what will guide you. I think this is a beautiful piece and I absolutely love the imagery portrayed here. I could go on for hours about this poem, it's one I've read a few times now and I'm just blown away by the maturity and wisdom in this poem. Fantastic.
