Once, No Longer

by Jad   May 27, 2012

The nights have grown too long,
and the melody of the songs
have etched their haunting notes
onto my broken soul
where I perish alone in the cold.

Your presence has forsaken me,
and I see your all I need
but these thoughts are faded dreams,
burning inside my veins
screaming out my name.

So please forget who I am,
no longer whole just a broken man,
bound to dying lies
serving a endless, undying sin
possessed by all and breathed in men.

Interesting write Jad and as Sylvia mentioned, it
can be interpreted in many ways and also this
write has a deep yet undying sadness behind it with very deep feelings which allows the reader to hear the writer's voice...touching.

Hope all is well with you...take care..

Very nice Jad. Your talent is growing with each poem you write. I am impressed. The message is presented in easy to read words and that makes it all the more powerful. I think that there could be many interpretations as to the meaning but to me it is about God and you realizing that He is all that we need in our lives.

    One thing: In this line

and I see your all I need (your should be you are)
