Oh syrup...sighs.....the thing about maple trees is that they can withstand the strongest of storms, unlike some other trees, even when a branch breaks new shoots appear almost instantly making her stronger than ever before. my friend. .......your branches are strong, as strong as your write. And your words will ALWAYS be heard x x

I love how you wrote from a locust's perspective and connected it with being a poet.
A locust can't stop chirping or 'making songs', just as a poet can't stop writing.
    Really creative. Keep writing (:

    I love this alot
    Specially this part
"I reside to write my words
alone in silence of the dawn
release the pain within my soul
learning the truth when I'm gone."

Beautiful poem. Makes me want to cry from the pain that I feel from reading these words. Very beautiful.

I don't know if this is what you meant, but when I read this poem I think of someone who has nothing left except one thing, which in this poem it seems to be poetry. No one really listens to you, except through you poetry-screaming doesn't work, talking doesn't work, nothing works besides poetry. And sometimes that doesn't even work.

"It isn't enough to say I'm broken
as these shoulders carry more than I can bare
it seems my destiny is to be seen and not heard
so I'll simply smile and stare."

^I consider this my favorite part of the whole poem because it reminds me so much of myself. You carry so many memories, secrets, and everything on your shoulders but no one will listen to you.

In this poem, it almost seems like you have thought about giving up, but you keep on going forward.

    Very beautiful

Hun I love this poem, the rhyming is beautiful but the words were so sad.

I am wondering if someone is telling you not to write? I mean who would want that from you hun? You are amazing and so talented. I love reading your work. I know that writing is a way to release things and since you feel that your shoulders are carrying a heavy burden you should be able to write to express yourself and release some of it.

This poem broke my heart but I still love it of course.

So much sadness, but yet so much strength as a writer in the words you have penned.

You indeed have allot to offer to all of us as a talented writer. We all go through different phases and I am just begining to get over a very long dry writing spell.

    Never give up.

    I'm sorry, Keep writing.

I do love reading your pieces, it doesn't matter if I feel sad or happy, or silly, or crazy... or loopy.. or idk.. your writing is magic.. it transmits it to the reader and I get in awe when I feel the pain or happiness, or any emotion intended within any poem. That just means that it's that good.
