The Dark Angel

by Chloe DeWitt   Jun 9, 2012

As her hair blew in the wind, the angels counted her every sin.
No matter how hard she tried,
She could never win the fight.
She loved peace and believed in all faith,
But a piece of her mind wondered away,
Could her grace save her now?
The voices she heard at night, and the boy she thought she loved,
All left her at ease with herself, and her murderous nightmares.

Even though she had wings like a dove,
The kids picked on her at school, and her daddy left her,
She is all alone now, and only she can save herself.

The crimes she committed,
And what she thought about at night. . .
All these things tore her apart inside.

She is gone now, to sing with the angels.
The ones that stayed by her side all along,
And promised to love her forever,
No matter what she did wrong.
They were her true friends,
The ones she really loved, all throughout this sad song.
