What I Never Knew

by A Poets Handwriting aka ALISHA   Jun 13, 2012

Don't know what you're missing
Don't know what could've been
But it's become apart of you now
This someone who you've never seen

It's been years and still no word
Never seen you smile or even cry
Never heard your voice, not ever
But you never called, not even try

I don't know you, only by name
I've never met you, and never will
It's hard not knowing who you are
But I'll be here missing you still

Won't ever know any of the answers
Of why you left me or what you do
But it's my emotional attachment that
has me missing what I never knew

What I never knew, title well chosen
how can we become attached to the unknown? It is so easy to do.How can we
miss something we never had, it does
happen. There are so many questions
    and so little answers.
    Truly enjoyed reading
