I can see your halo
Floating gently above a blanket of silky brown hair
I smile to you
A light sparking in your eyes
I take a step forward and you a step back
Reaching out to touch this illusion
It's a dream, I tell myself
Your beautiful blue eyes pulling me in
The light rain falling on my body
Walking along a highway
Following this... beauty
Lyrics, angelic, come floating my way
I close my eyes
The energy of your words pulsing through me
I open them, horrified
I watch the accident happen
The car thrown down the road
As if it were nothing
And the lives it carried were useless
You float above the surface
Looking down on the catastrophe
I run to help any of the survivors
Familiar, the car looked familiar
I turn around the side of the sunken in side
Finding... myself
Blood, scratches, cuts, bruises cover my body
It's me...
Broken, burned, destroyed, bent...
This illusion no longer a dream
I look up at your beauty
Tears flowing freely
I'm too young to die, I whisper
You extend your glowing hand
A sweet, exotic, addicting smell filling the air
The smell of spoiled innocence
I look back at my demented body
Wiping away my tears and accepting my fate
Grasping your hand
My vision clouded with light
Soft, delicate wings sprouting from my back
I take one look back as you drag me to the skies
A life taken too early lying still below
You whisper my name
Your voice seductive and addictive
You pull me up as I whisper my goodbyes
Picturing a halo on the head of silky brown hair

This is fantastic Kate. It really did make me tear up. Every detail is striking and full of passion. When the angel turned out to be you wow. The crash was the sad part because no one deserves to die like that sweetie. No words just amazing. 5
