Love Hurts

The biggest revelations bring pain
Didn't know, I must be naive I guess
It seems I was much too immature
To deal with such an immense mess

Didn't know, guess I was shielded
Must have been protected all this time
I didn't know it would be like this
Couldn't have dreamed this in my mind

But here I am, with all the scars as proof
Got the shattered heart to mark an end
I can now say I've learnt that love hurts
But I don't know if I am able to mend...

    Its a very simple message over all, and maybe its just me but i almsot feel as though its too wordy for the message youre going for. otherwise its straight forward and it flows smoothly enough. definitely relatable to anyone who has had their heart broken, and that makes this piece particularly approachable. id say good job
