Turn The Page.

by Steven Beesley   Jun 20, 2012

Turn the page quickly,
can you rub out the past
and scribe a new future?

Is destiny something which you
and you alone can control, if
you really so desired?
Turn the page and write it now.

Of all the words that I have heard
uttered and spat out, most of which
had been so lop-sided I choose to
turn the page quickly. All dribble!

All the time that you wasted and
and squandered on my time without
second thoughts given to me I
cannot rescue. You scoundrel!

Unwritten pages pure and white
I will not allow you to violate
and I shall blot you out as I
conveniently turn the page!

Should you even try, I shall swat
you like a fly without as much as
second thought as I happily turn
the pages without you!

A nasty blot on the page, but a
thing of the past and you can
rest assured that in time you
will fade out completely.

I can really feel the anger you are aiming towards this person. Your imagery is also very good (a nasty blot on the page). You really expressed how you feel towards this person and how you don't want this person to be a part of the future.

    Very well done!

  • To me it sounds as though you are using a diary to metaphorically describe the situation/ your life. It sounds as though with each page you turn brings a new day and with it a new chapter of your life without the person you are enraged/ upset with.Like the 'turn a new leaf' saying. Sounds as though this person has betrayed you in some way, left a stain on the page, on your life.

Though sometimes its easier to erase someone from your life, it may not erase all the issues or pain which that person has brought. I hope in your case it does.
