Dewdrops (Naani).

by Steven Beesley   Jul 3, 2012

With each small spec of dew
that lays upon the leaf,
by morning; it brings such
freshness to the world.

Naani:

Is one of India's most popular Telugu poetry forms. It means an expression of one and all. It consists of 4 lines, and a total syllable count of 20-25. The poem is not bounded by a particular subject. This was first introduced by one of the renown Telugu poets - Dr. N. Gopi who is presently working as vice-chancellor to Telugu University, Andhra Pradesh.

Ik like this, Steven and would have liked it even more if you changed "each morning" by : "by morning"

Now you repeat the word "each" two times and that is a lot in such a short verse.

Love the message, though and the poem too, the Naani is a cute little format.

    Well done,
