Fifty Poems

Fifty,
were for you, about you
because of you, and as
always my favorites are
the ones -with you.

Always abusing the power
of your words; you know
how they affect me .. posses
me .. leaving me; a marionette,
tangled in your inky lines.

I stepped into your world
of metaphors; but just like
a house of mirrors, with you
every angle shows a new
possibility .. a different image.

You claim that you are a
man with no reflection, yet
you gaze at those mirrors
with burning eyes. What is it
that you are longing to see?

Tell me .. Please!

If they hang there failing to
answer back your callings,
and if the redemption of
your shadows is what you
seek .. then let it be me.

Down the ominous road of
metaphors, I will continue to
walk, until you are mine. We
may still be libraries and
libraries apart, but we are
now fifty poems closer ...

    Fifty poems closer..

    The first thing that I thought when I started reading... Wow, this girl keeps track of the poems she has written for this person. I have already lost count of the ones I have written for someone.

    Though, I like the ending the most, fifty poems closer...
    true, true, doesn't matter how many libraries and libraries divide this person from you, each poem holds an emotion and thoughts that makes this person closer to you. IF not at least in your heart. I also got the impression that this person is also someone who writes poems and that the poems melt you, to the point of becoming a marionette.. I would think that that is a bit scary, but also would be sweet if the puppetteer decides to not take advantage of you and to not control you. ( I could have misunderstood that part).

    I could continue saying and saying what thought crosses in my mind but that might become boring.

    Overall, I like this poem is in the dark section but I feel some love in there.

    Your writes are always amazing hun.
    At first I was like 50 poems no can't be lol You've done way more than that! So I was instantly intrigued as to what this poem was about. It was then I noticed it was in the dark section.
    There is a dark tone to it but it I can feel it is subtle (which I don't mind). I love the words you have used in this and the slight repetition in the first and last stanza when you talk about 50 poems. I love that you have used the word and not the numbers.
    I feel that you are talking about someone who may not be yours yet but who you admire, especially when you mention in the final stanza about you always writing until they are yours. I quite love what you wrote there, it's awesome! In fact this whole poem is awesome.
    My fav stanza is when you talk about not having a reflection - it makes me think of vampires!!! Oh I love that image.
