Lapis Skies (Rispetto).

by Steven Beesley   Jul 17, 2012

Lapis colored skies at dusk say adieu
to the now departing burgundy sun light.
The light of day now greeted by evening blue,
like the changing of the guard, bidding good night.

The entrance now of the small glorious stars
in the milky way galaxy which is ours.
Shinning in deepest darkness, silver and gold
Small tiny diamonds for us to behold.

Rispetto:

Rispetto, (Italian:: "respect," )plural rispetti, a Tuscan folk verse form, a version of strambotto. The rispetto lyric is generally composed of eight hendecasyllabic (11-syllable) lines. In its earliest form the rhyme scheme was usually abababcc. Later, the scheme ababccdd became more prominent, and other variations can also be found.

This form is elegant... and very rich in beauty of nature.... I got lost in all its glory...

One thing I would like to ask: Second stanza; first line, you have "of the" written twice... did you mean to write it that way for a repetitious feeling?

In my opinion, this is a gorgeous nature formed piece and one I feel deserves to be highlighted!
